Committed to the idea of an art museum for the citizens of southeastern Idaho, a number of corporations and foundations made substantial donations that enabled the building committed to reach its financial goals. The Art Museum of Eastern Idaho opened its doors to the public on Oct. 19, 2002, and is operated by the Board of Directors as a 501(c)3 nonprofit art museum and art education center.
