Yellowstone National Park is the flagship of the National Park Service and a favorite to millions of visitors each year. The park is a major destination for all members of the family. Committed to the idea of an art museum for the citizens of southeastern Idaho, a number of corporations and foundations made substantial donations that enabled the building committed to reach its financial goals. The Art Museum of Eastern Idaho opened its doors to the public on Oct. 19, 2002, and is operated by the Board of Directors as a 501(c)3 nonprofit art museum and art education center.
